Journal Entry 18: Do the Right Thing

A typical hero will fight for other people, for their beliefs, and would often sacrifice themselves for the good of others. In the selection of stories form the textbook. This section is mostly about people saving the poor or brave deeds to show their loyalty.
In my opinion, I think Harriet Tubman is a hero, because she risked her life to free the slabs, and sacrificed her freedom and time for them.
She fit the helping the weak statement, sacrificing herself one, and fight for her beliefs. So I think it is just right to call her a hero.
As for Barbara Frietchie, I have to admit she is brave, and fought for what she believed in, but her acts help no one, and didn’t make others life any better, so no I think she is not a hero. As for stonewall Jackson, I think he is a hero because he left the lady to live; meaning he saved the weak from further harm, and the noblest thing of all was not harming woman that was provoking him.
I think my own code is staying neutral, and get aggressive when someone bugged me. That way no one can get hurt and I won’t get hurt too
